“Music Land” (1935)

This cartoon, part of the “Silly Symphonies” series from the early years of Disney, simply beggars description.  Suffice it to say it involves an allegorical struggle between jazz and classical music, featuring anthropomorphic instrument-beings who speak an uncanny language of tones, an apocalyptic firefight between brass and organ pipes, and a happy ending fit for an 18th-century opera buffa.
